Cursed From Birth was formed in December of 2006, by R. Vivlamore and P. Odett; former bandmates in Groundead and Brainstem. Frustrated by the local music scene in Syracuse, NY, or lack thereof; both friends decided to write and record death-metal together (Pat drew his experience from his time in the legendary local band; Violent Fury). After playing every genre, from rock to death to punk; death-metal was an easy fit, and something the two always wanted to pursue. In the coming months, they put together over 30
songs. Bobby V. wrote all the lyrics and vocals, while Pat wrote all the musical compositions. After such an undertaking, the two-piece band started to garner interest from indie-horror and music festivals. They added C. Robbins (Malachai, Groundead) on drums, and C. Brinkman (from the legendary Wrathchild America) on guitar.Bob and Pat recorded the following releases:
Smell the Rot (2007), Darkness Waits (2007), and C.F.B. (2008).
Cursed From Birth have worked, and toured with; Alex Perialas (Overkill, Testament, M.O.D. producer), Obituary, Incantation, Cannibal Corpse, Monstrosity, Brutal Truth,
Abigail Williams and Rose Funeral, among others. With more than 80 songs written and recorded, and Joe Hollow's Brutal Nation DVD in the works, this is one death-metal band that will terrorize the music scene, and your city, very soon. .

Hey, boys! So, I assume you're open from the end of October until the end of December? Looks like things are FINALLY freaking rolling with the venues around here. Anal Cunt looks like they'll be doing it, and I hesitate to do another band that has to make a trip but we've been talking about it with you so I figured I'd hit you up. It would likely be in Richmond (other venue is slightly closer to you, but still in VA). Animals Killing People said they'd be interested too, but I only want us, AC, and another big band for it so let me know as soon as possible. I was hoping for December 4th, but it might have to be after that.
