Curse of the Ramones have played all over Northern Ireland as a tribute to the greatest loudest fastest punk band ever.Playing over thirty breakneck speed classics (most of ITS ALIVE set) we have went down a storm.Realising that there may be no chance for the fantasic sound never to be heard again after the tragic deaths of three of Da brudders(God bless Joey DeeDee and Johnny) three cousins decide to make sure that the world kept the faith. It was a labour of love and soon we were out playing to audiences of young and old.The fun and energy the smiling faces has made up for the lack of money but as we always said it is never about the money. Our biggest thrill to date was to get the thumbs up from Marky when we met him after a gig in Belfast but he thought the name was "Kinda scarey".As well as that Arturo Vega,Ramones artistic director and designer of the eagle logo an iconic image, told us that Johnny would have loved the name as he was into old classic horror movies. We loved headlining the Ramones Convention at the world famous Cavern Club blowing the audience away and on our visit to Viva La Punk in Cambridge where we give them their biggest crowd to date.
But the greatest thing of all is when young fans come up after a gig and say that they had heard the songs but never knew who sang them and that they are going to get some Ramones stuff it makes us very proud.
