Originally from Japan, these "Tokyo Transplants" took up residency in Long Beach, CA in 2002 to pursue the American music market. And it’s been an interesting journey so far. “Language can create barriers. Music can tear those barriers down. Or in the case of Supe's hard-driving, pulse-pounding rock sound, those barriers are ripped in two, dropped repeatedly on their heads and left in a thumb-sucking fetal position.” Lucas Peerman - Pulse Magazine
Supe is a hard rock band with energy and an amazing live show. “This high-intense band’s show is equal to their dynamic sound…a must see band.” Mark DiPiazza – Promoter.
In 2005 the band caught the attention of platinum selling producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down) who produced the band’s six song EP "Grow in the Cold" featuring walls of crunching guitar, amazing power and passionate vocals - displaying all the range and styles of Breaking Benjamin or Linkin Park.
“Nothing but hard-hitting riff mania with splendid melodies from Kihiro not to mention the glowing and tight performance - they're coming at ya like a 5-ton tanker. It feels great being a hard rock fan when bands like Supe come along.” Kaj Roth - Reviewer.
Experience Supe live but don’t expect any funny Asian accents or karate lessons. Supe is Kihiro on vocals, ARI on ESP guitar, takeshi on PRS guitar, Toru on bass and RyoZ pounding the drums. Have no fear; they may have Japanese names but this truly an all-American rock band with a world-wide appeal.
