If Joe Strummer and Dave Vanian moved to San Francisco or New Jersey and started writing songs for Yngwie Malmsteen.
Rising from the analogical ashes of countless bands comes the figurative phoenix that is Curse. As well as featuring fretwizard Neil Purdy, the ranks include bass player Brad Laver and drummer Nate Davenport, although the band are now looking for a singer.
A visually and aurally striking affair, combining raw energy, a powerful sense of melody, strong imagery and sophisticated musicianship, this tightly-knit trio - soon to be quartet - promises to take their experimental blend of melodic thrash metal and hardcore punk and darker-themed deathrock, gothic rock, and horror influenced atmospherics to a new level, capitalising on their previous outings' popularity and work ethic in the process.
With new material currently being rehearsed, the band are also putting the finishing touches to an album, entitled "Dream Eaters". Having shared the stage with bands such as The Creepshow, Evil Scarecrow, and the Casino Brawl, this group of misfits (pun intended) have proved their worth time and time again, so make sure you keep those eyes and ears wide open!
Debut album "Dream Eaters" is currently being mastered and decorated, and is slated for release next year.
