One time I got "Laid Off" 2 days before my birthday (Oct. 26th) and I got a little bit depressed as expected. I had some free time on my hands so I decided to use it wisely to do something I always wanted to do ever since I heard my first Dr. Dre song.
I sat down and tried to decipher how to rap by listening to one of my favorite songs and BAM! "Confessions of a Killa" was born. I know it don't sound that great as far as being mastered but I didn't have any equipment then. I started with a $20 mic and a demo program on my computer and somehow made it work. I got a few compliments on my writing so I figured I would continue on with this new found hobby of mine.
Since then I have learned so much about music that I often feel overwhelmed with the knowledge that you need to produce music. (Enough with the Crying Waaaaah)
I save up any money I can with budgeting and put it towards my "Home Studio". I now have an almost complete studio that can be used for almost anything I want.
Some of my components are- ProTools with the MBox mini Deluxe Edition, FLStudio 8.xx, M-Audio BX8a Deluxe Edition monitors, Skull CAndy Headphones, Shure PG58 mic, Sterling ST55 condenser mic and POP Filter-shockmount-stand etc., M-Audio Keystation 61 ES (MIDI), and no studio is complete without the famous AutoTune (TPain sound). Also few other programs and Plug-ins Galore!
