The band was initially formed by frontman Russell Curtis with his cousins back in the 90s. After winning top places in college competitions here and there, the band went through times of changes and differences in opinion, which is not uncommon, and leads to the need of finding new members to fill in the vacancies of bass and drums alongside at that time Russell (lead vocals/guitars) and Joshua (lead guitars). Changes of members occur within that period until when Zaim came into the picture middle of 2003 for the Limkokwing UC Battle of the bands and CBR bagged 1st runner-up, and he never left.
Joshua had to leave the scene for awhile but the duo Russell and Zaim went on ahead along with a new line-up and achieved 2nd runner-up for the Blastoff 2005 national competition, openning new doors to the band. Joshua came back in action middle of 2005 shortly after Chin, as the final addition to the band answering the call for a more versatile drummer with the ability to play impromptu.
With the current line-up, CBR rose to new heights of musicianship that leads to the creation of their very own distinct style of playing. A subtle but strong blues feel on the guitars topped with sweet soulful sound of the vocals backed by a funky groove of bass and beats.
CBR also plays for private functions. Call either Russell 012-6010834 or Zaim 012-3594168 for details.
