I was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. My Dad gave me a Broadway Harmony guitar when I was ten years old and taught me three or four chords. I took it from there and for the next four years I took guitar lessons, and used to sit in my room singing and playing country and rock songs for hours every day. I also taught myself how to play the piano.
By Fifteen, I was in my Dad's band "Rambunctious" doing gigs as a special guest, and playing in other bands as well all thru high school. The main one was The Hornets. We did Beatles tunes as well as other British Invasion songs. After Graduation, we did a summer tour traveling thru BC. Then I joined a traveling retro band which played all over Canada for 18 months. After that I also fronted the Notables show band from time to time, and finally joined a surf band called The Bowery Boys. Then I joined Frank McCormack and the Country Macs, we were the house band for the Arlington Cabaret in Vancouver for nearly two years. Then I did two live dinner theatre productions in Sask. And finally my current band called Curtis Cowan & Flyer. We play Originals, plus classic rock and some country rock.
The sample song is from my new CD called "Full of Surprises",produced by Frank Ludwig and Jamie Anstey, recorded at Quantum Sound in Vancouver,BC,Canada, thru Hill Music Canada.
