   About Curtis Eller
Curtis Eller is New York City's angriest yodeling banjo player. He sings about pigeon racing, performing elephants and Jesus, all of which he has seen with his own eyes. He started his show-business career at the age of seven as a juggler and acrobat in the Hiller Olde Tyme Circus in Detroit, but has since turned to the banjo because that's where the money is. His biggest musical influences are Buster Keaton, Elvis Presley and Abraham Lincoln.

On the lastest American Circus CD Wirewalkers & Assassins Mr. Eller presents 10 songs about John Wilkes Booth, Joe Louis, Jack Ruby, Fidel Castro, Richard Nixon and the Hartford circus fire of 1944 (as well as the usual references to Elvis Presley and various Civil War generals). As always, sporadic yodeling and some strong language should be expected.

I've just done a bit of a round of festivals, seeing all sorts of fine performances, but yours at Beverley remains a highlight. Hope you visit these shores again soon.

Best wishes,

glad to have you; we're all cellos but were considering using a banjo for one of our Johnny Cash arrangements (Folsom Prison Blues), so perhaps you'll hear some banjo influence in some of our future tracks!

The pleasure is all ours mr banjo man, i've listened to nothing but your cd's since seeing you saturday! When you're back in the area give us a shout, there's plenty of little venues tucked away in Nottingham that you'd go down a treat in :) take care, Paul ...p.s i was the one that asks where you bought you're moustache ;)

Well, you managed a fairly madcap performance in a domestic parlour. No mean feat - though some mean green shoes. Entertaining and beautiful - sometimes sad (but never ugly).

I suggest you do your workshop on story songs btw. There's a knack to 'em and you've definitely got it.

Anyway, enjoying the record already.
