Although growing up surrounded by music, Curt Yagi didn’t begin playing music until his late teenage years after hearing rock music coming out of his mother’s piano. Who knew a piano could play something other than classical or show tunes? Since then, he has explored various instruments including the piano, guitar, bass and most importantly his voice. While the genre of his music is difficult to pinpoint, many people liken it to the sounds you hear on Sunday mornings as you wake up to KFOG’s Acoustic Sunrise. With well thought out lyrics and an open vibe, he will take you on a journey through his life experiences and leave you wanting more.
By day, Curt serves as the Executive Director of Real Options for City Kids (ROCK), a nonprofit serving disadvantaged kids in San Francisco. Be sure to visit www.rocksf.org.
