earth is short, and heaven is ridiculously long. my name's curt, and i live in a 92' celica. Living in a transportation device lends me the opportunity to stay fairly mobile, thus making my life a perpetual road trip of sorts; living like the wind is what the Bible calls it (John 3:8--see also 1 corinthians 4:9-13). my buddy david watkins is traveling with me, and we kind of pray for a living--pro bono, yet making many rich (2 corinthians 6:10). I just figure it's highly unlikely that i'm gonna get to heaven and regret spending too much time in prayer. I was once posed the question, "If you could only keep the scriptures that you obey, how big would your Bible be?" mine would be much smaller than heaven would prefer --as I'm sure you would likewise confess-- and the desire to find my life becoming more synonymous with the Word is rather insatiable these days.
leonard ravenhill says that one day some man or woman is gonna wake up, believe that the Bible means what it says, and leave the rest of us embarrassed. I am not yet that man. But the Lord does seem fervently intent on crucifying me completely, and Grace is beginning to teach me the joy of renunciation, coupled with the privilege of being replaced.
there is seriously nothing left of us that we should even bother mentioning, save that which the LORD has redeemed and reconciled; so instead allow us this opportunity to tell you about Jesus. "Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory."--1 timothy 3:16
Let me assure you --regardless of your creed, theology, or religion-- that Jesus Christ is more real than you are. If you could jump inside my head for about 30 seconds, you would never doubt again. And He loves you more excessively than you'll ever be comfortable admitting. Please keep in mind, truth is not dependent upon your agreement with it. Truth is truth without you, and truth is truth without me. Thank God. He is good--good in a way I'll never properly use that word. "whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the Gospel's will save it." spend and be spent
"Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible" (ephesians 6:24)
