curv – agogo: a little bit of afro-latin-jazz-cheesieness here – you gotta love this tune. so does the crowd!

The Facts:
First remixes and reworks from this classic and sought after Afro Jazz LP recorded by Lou Blackburn & band, recently re-released on Sonorama! Six original tracks re-rubbed 32 years after their first release on the deleted Spiegelei label. The razor-sharp block party intro from Dr Rubberfunk (GPS London) - plus b-boy bonus beats - is followed by a version from Matt Flores & MC Glittershine (Combination), improving with a lot of bass and throwing dub plus ghettotech in the mix. Further breakbeats come from Curv (Vinyl Vibes Recordings), Palmreaders (Sonorama) and Bird (Liebe*Detail). Sure killer set for the freestyle DJs with tons of true killer breaks re-spliced for the new millenium! Available on Vinyl LP only.
curv: a new talent from berlin and former member of producer duo thrust & !pez, having released on the vienna scientists and stereo deluxe labels. curv is holding residencies as an eclectic dj in his hometown and running an e-zine for design, music and lifestyle called orange coffee.
volo nel cielo: is what could be called an old school nu jazz tune. the kind of music we loved dancing and listening to a couple of years ago when djs like mr. trby or jazzanova used to play it in the clubs. but hey ... who says that you always have to follow the latest trends? instead you better feel the south american melancholy as the violine comes in, meanwhile your feet get irresistibly carried away in direction to the dance floor, led by some shuffled afro beats.
we found this track to be more than lovely enough to give it a special limited-edition-one-sided-blue-vinyl treatment, putting an unique tune onto an exclusive format to be released on. and dancefloors from sydney to sao paulo allready confirmed this selection to be right ...
