CUT 72 is the latest chapter in the on-going creative exploits of Gary Cut - one of Wales' most innovative and enigmatic underground musicians and multimedia artists. Widely regarded as the Godfather of the Welsh Industrial Music scene he pioneered both the Industrial Metal and Industrial Electronica scenes in Wales during the late 80s/early 90s with his original band, the legendary CUT TUNES.
The mid-90s to the start of the new millennium saw him collaborating on a new project - CUT 23 - with cult Welsh producer and musician Dewi Evans (Rheinallt H. Rowlands) which culminated in the critically-acclaimed album METAL GHOSTS, released in 2002.
As both a musician and visual artist Gary has constantly pushed boundaries and challenged conventions and CUT 72 sees him continuing to produce his groundbreaking Dark Electronica coupled with huge Industrial rhythms, vicious synths and haunting female vocals - but with more jagged edges than ever before. His latest album - INSANE ASYLUM - is a collaboration with acclaimed Japanese cyberpunk author KENJI SIRATORI, who can count no less than David Bowie as one of his biggest fans. A remix EP of one of the tracks off the album will also be released shortly. Further music projects are confirmed for 2009 onwards including an album and video project with Laurie Gordon, vocalist with top Montreal Indie band CHIWAWA.

Sorry for the late reply. As you may or may not be aware, I have been working in Kent as a Music Lecturer for the past year or so. I now have a son and I've been too busy to concentrate on music for quite a while now. In fact I've hardly been on myspace which explains this late message.

I will be moving back to North Wales on August 16th - Gerlan to be precise. It's pretty near Bethesda, native land of Lustmord and erm... Skinflick for a bit and erm... some kids who drink cider outside the Spar.

The instrumental outfit from Wales Sendelica returns with a fabulous collection of seven face melting jams on their brand new offering for RAIG called The Girl From The Future Who Lit Up The Sky With Golden Worlds. For this new disc the two principal members, Pete Bingham (guitars, electronics) and Glenda Pescado (bass) have enlisted two Boston area musicians Geoff Chase (drums) and Ed Guild (electronics) to join them on their lengthy, astral excursions. Kicking off with a brief snippet of sampled, ethic tinged female vocals "Standing On The Edge" quickly shifts into overdrive as Bingham slashes out a mammoth swath of thick power chords, as bursts of psychedelic sounding electronics swirl around his extended solos. His guitar lets out an extended run of feedback at the tail end of the track before seamlessly segueing directly into the metallic, twelve minute crunch of "Manhole Of The Universe".
