   About Cut Collective
For all contact please call 07840935110 or via www.tonecology.co.uk

Cut Collective are an exciting & energetic 6 piece performing an original blend of funky latin & eastern music. Established in Bristol in 2004 Cut Collective was formed off the back of many interesting ideas, sounds and talents which led to some monumentally crammed dance floor performances at major venues & festivals around the UK, as well as the release of their debut album 'GALATA'

Enthused so much by delivering a great show and atmosphere to their gigs they staged a number of epic monthly jazz-world nights at the famous Bristol Ship come Nightclub The THEKLA. With a wide range of influences and exceptional musicianship, the thrill for the group is in bringing together many styles in creative, exciting compositions, and in taking their audience on a breathtaking journey through a live set that will appeal not only to dancers, but also to the discerning music lover.

Imagine..High life guitar over hip-hop beats, Eastern violin with Indian Tabla, Arabic horn lines above Latin bass

Having gigged and toured successfully for several years it is with regret and excitement that the members of cut collective are now pursuing many other flights and interests and so it is rare to catch us live but please check out our other projects in the friends lists below.

!!Basement Studio Update!!!

The Basement Studio is now running free open access sessions in Bristol again. These sessions are for young people at all levels of music interest and experience. There are two areas: Live music – with drum kit, bass, electric or acoustic guitars, keyboard and mics; Urban music – with music tech, DJing and MCing. There are 3x 40 min slots in each area every session. Each area is run by a tutor who will talk to you about what you want to do - and help you do it. There are also youth workers who can help you get info and advice on anything you need to know about and are generally up for a chat. They can also help you get certificates such as National Youth Achievement Awards or Arts Awards – either for the music you make or for other projects. Call the Basement (0117) 934 9013 for more info – or just turn up. We’re at the Unicorns, Colston Street (next to Colston Hall), on Tues and Thurs eves, 7.30-10pm. When you’re standing in front of Colston Hall there’s an archway directly to the right. Walk through there, make for the double brown doors (next to the bins) – through them and downstairs to the Unicorns.

For more info please contact us on 0117 934 9013 or email us info(at)basementstudio.co.uk.

Hmmm.
I guess I should inform you all that there is an ongoing investigation into the musicianship (and origins thereof) of a Mr. Pete Bernard. A recent raid of the offices of Mr. Lou Cipher have lead us to believe that Mr. Bernard may have an agreement with the afforementioned tyrant. Unless evidence of weapons of mass instruction is uncovered, Mr. Bernard may be arrested and held in custody until his involvement with Lou Cipher and Morning Star Inc. is proven or dis-proven.
