Cut The Reins are a melodic hardcore punk band from Galway, Ireland.
In just over a year the band has self-released a full-length debut album ‘Man Made Dust’, and will release a 7” split with American band Expendable Youth in the near future.
CTR has toured extensively across Ireland, sharing the stage with bands such as Strike Anywhere, Leftover Crack, The Restarts, Outbreak, This Is Hell, Pulling Teeth, No Turning Back and La Fraction.
After completing an Irish tour with London-based Meinhoff, the band brought their crust-tinged hardcore to the UK where they again were on the bill with Leftover Crack and The Restarts.
Drawing as much from From Ashes Rise as Kid Dynamite and held together with a punk undertone, CTR refuse to stagnate and write songs that are heavy but also have hooks.
With song writing shared between four members, the music created explores just how far the sub genres of punk, hardcore and crust can be taken.
A passionate lead singer and two backing vocalists complete the sound that is both dark and melodic.
With new songs in the works and gigs lined up, CTR will bring their music and energetic live performance to anyone who will listen.

my my my, great set as always in dirty Dublin. Those new tracks are fuckin immense, i just had a one man pit to the breakdown in isolation. Can't wait to hear the new release!
