Influences include the Stanley Brothers, original Carter Family, The Louivin Brothers, Blue Sky Boys and old time/bluegrass fiddlers such as Benny Simms, Curly Ray Cline, Edden Hammons, Tommy Jarrel and guitarists Jack Lawrence and Bryan Sutton.
Cut The Suffle was formed in 2003 as as result of Gina and Gerry enjoying many evenings jammin' on guitars and fiddle, trying this and that and adding vocals here and there! The resulting sound is in the American "brothers band' tradition with harmony vocals, guitar, fiddle, and a touch of intriguing "fiddle' picking on guitar that...Cut The Shuffle...out of mainline bluegrass. Here you will find a tantalising mix of bluesy songs, traditional fiddle tunes, fulsome gospel, and soulful country songs peppered with a few guitar licks and strident fiddle breaks.
