-Hailing from the foothills of east TN, cutthroat shamrock combines the speed of bluegrass with the drive and energy of punk rock and then tops it all off with alittle celtic influence.
-Fronted by dual vocals and backed by solid bass lines, the momentum gained by two drummers make this a combination to wake up any size of room.
-Each song sounds different from the last yet some how familiar. train like rhythms are traded in for finger picking and the rockabilly slaps of the upright bass are replaced with long dark notes played with a bow. instrumental breaks introduce jigs and reels into almost every song, with guitar leads that would seem more at home on a fiddle or penny whistle.
-Harmony and character emerge from the lyrics. telling stories of long ago yet making them seem anew. songs about hard work and death that make it nearly impossible not to finish your pint and have another.

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I've been listening to your newest album while out on patrol in Afghanistan and its been great! My DAMN GOOD FRIEND Clay Pardue mailed Blood Rust Whiskey to me. And then I got to hear my other DAMN GOOD FRIEND Marcus Bunch jam with you guys. I friggin dig it. Keep up the good work!
We would love Cutthroat Shamrock to play Huntsville, but unfortunately, our beloved pub remains closed. If we secure another venue, we would be more than pleased to have y'all play.
Finnegan's Pub is a Huntsville icon that was opened in the 70's by a very nice lady from Galway, Ireland, named Ellen McAnnaly. We were saddened by Ellen's passing a few months ago.
Ellen's sister, Nancy, who lives in Canada, has taken over the bar. There are problems with the liquor license, I'm told, because Nancy is not an American citizen.
At any rate, Finnegan's remains closed and we miss it dearly. Hopefully, the debacle over the liquor license will be resolved soon.
love you guys! Derek and me have been in Asheville over six months now and LOVE it. We want to see more of you guys here!!! We're getting on the Magic Hat site next to support!
