Please write a letter - to the zoo, to City Council, to the Express-News.
To Steve McCusker - Executive Director, and Gilbert F Vazquez - President of the Board of Directors, San Antonio Zoo: explain why you want Lucky freed, & be sure to say that you will not be visiting the zoo until she is released. You can also say that other zoos have successfully closed their exhibits and transported their elephants to sanctuaries.

To Mayor Phil Hardberger and City Council: the zoo is on city land, & is subsidized by us - the taxpayers. Council therefore has the financial authority to intervene. It also has a civic duty to do so, since both Lucky and the zoo are symbols of San Antonio. Council must not be afraid to make the moral decision that Steve McCusker does not care about.

Focus on just one of the many reasons to free Lucky:
-Zoos cannot provide for the needs of an elephant. -Conservation and zoos are contradictions. -Zoos have outlived their educational value. -Other large U.S. zoos have successfully closed their elephant exhibits.

When we are tempted to conform to the ways of the world, just realize that Jesus Christ was also tempted in all the ways we are tempted. By his experiencing the same pressures we feel today, we have an advocate (defense attorney) between us and God, Jesus Christ who knows what we are going through. We can boldly approach God for His mercy and have His help in time of need. God's promise to us is that when we are tempted, He will alway provide a way out for us. We just have to look for it to see it.
Are you a soldier for Christ? Do you wear his banner everywhere you go? Do you tell of if his redeeming grace and also walk as an exemplary soldier? The world around us is lost; people either don’t know about Christ or choose not to follow him. We need a new group of Soldiers for Christ that are ready to go to war for him and proclaim his name. Be joyful when you are under attack (temptation) and realize that attacks form the adversary teach us patience and patience increases our faith in God. As our faith (believing) increases we begin to become perfect and entire. We want nothing because God supply of our every need is not hindered by our own actions. The only thing that stands between asking and receiving is doubt. We can not waver between doubt & faith. If we allow our minds to fall into this trap we will not receive the things we ask God for and will have instability in our finances our health, our families, and all other areas of our life.

Hello! I just thought I would drop you a line and tell you that I bought a rainbow bible yesterday (the scriputes are colored accoring to subject, love, faith,family, ect.)and under the colors of "sin" and "evil" there are a ton of references to eatting and scaraficing animals....now how how on earth have Christains missed this for over two thousand years? I love my fellow brothers and sisters but it breaks my heart that some of them honestly believe that animals were put here for our consumtion. Thank you for your page.

It is not how much of God's Word you know, it is speaking what you know that counts. We have each been given the ministry of reconciliation and the word of reconciliation. You are an Ambassador for Christ. Share the truth that you know and God will use what you share to rescue others from the darkness of the world.
most of the vegans and vegetarians i know are not christian nor profess any belief in Christ nor follow his teachings, and most of the people that i know who are christian or identify with christianity are not vegetarian... not that it makes a difference in the long run to me what people believe, but it's not only 'nice' to have someone like your group on myspace, it's encouraging to have a friend who understands and knows the path i have been walking. thank you for being on myspace. i appreciate your presence more than you imagine.
