SAD NEWS ABOUT THIS
YEARS 2008 FESTIVAL
BLUES UPDATE FOR THE 10TH ANNUAL CVBF
April 24, 2008
We have good news and bad news about
our blues festival for 2008.
After 9 years of bringing you great blues in the central valley,
the bad news is that we have basically fallen victim to the current economic crisis,
the directors and most of our sponsors feel that we are not in the position to support the show this year.
We have decided to postpone this years festival so that we can regroup and recover. Hopefully we can bring it back next year even bigger and better, we feel that we have worked too long and too hard to just let it go. So we will look to the future and with all your support we can once again make the magic happen.
If anyone is interested or knows of someone that would like to come aboard as a sponsor, please let us know and we will be in contact. If you would all say a prayer for us and make plans to come and join us the next time we get together. We will be in touch and please do the same, we will miss all of our good friends and the great party this fall.
The good news is, we still plan on continuing the "Blues In The School" program, possibly even more than once a year.
We will keep you updated on this.
Also there are plans to put together a fund raiser this fall in Merced with top notch performers and a powerful theme, we would like you all to be with us for this event. We will give you more details in time.
" Again, if anyone would like to consider being a sponsor, please contact us. "
GOOD BLUES TO YOU ALL.......
In gratitude
John Moffett, Darrell Angle & Linda Benson
