Sounds Like
The best thing I've heard in Charlottesville since last Wednesday!!
Charlottesville's got music. It's got it in every corner from the crowded bars of the Uva Corner to the intimate scene Downtown. It's got blues and roots, punk and pop, jazz and jam, style and grace.......and all that music is made right here. The Charlottesville Music Showcase seeks to further promote the local vibe, music, and artists by hosting weekly events EVERY WEDNESDAY spanning the entire spectrum of musical ideas from bands in Charlottesville who want to work with us in putting on a great show and having great people around to enjoy it, as well as out of town artists who haven't been introduced to our happenin' scene.
To add to the style and grace, the Charlottesville Music Showcase has taken up residency at Rapture, on the Downtown Mall, featuring the dance ready R2 club space, and a stage out in the main bar area (so you can play pool AND rock out at the same time). We fully intend to utilize either or both stages for our weekly showcases....and look for special events periodically on weekends that satisfy our constant need to have a celebration (Think: Christmas Jams 1&2, Turkey Jam, HalloPEEN, 11 Band Anniversary Show, Love...Or Something Like It).
It's a conspiracy to cultivate C'ville's Musical Mojo, and we've moved into Rapture. Get ready to dance....a lot more.
