Country Village Tanning Salon opened it's doors for business in February of 2002. We were the first exclusive tanning salon in the city of Ishpeming. We currently have 5 lay down tanning beds and one stand-up speed tanning unit.
In 2006, we were voted the "Best Tanning Salon" in Marquette County by a survey taken by The Mining Journal's Reader's Choice Awards.
We carry a full line of tanning lotions including Australian Gold, Swedish Beauty, California Tan, Caribbean Gold, Designer Skin and Emerald Bay.
Shape Up Fitness Center opened it's doors for business in December 2005. Shape Up has a wide range of equipment including strength equipment from Nautilus, treadmills, steppers, stationary bikes and dumbells. Shape Up also offers locker rooms, towel service and showers at no extra charge! We also have a personal trainer on staff to help you meet your fitness goals.
Country Village Tanning Salon and Shape Up Fitness Center merged in March 2008 to form Shape Up Fitness & Tanning. They also added some new features to their facility including free weights, a Spacapsule hydro massage bed and a Versa Spa spray tanning booth. Combo packages of fitness & tanning, fitness & massage, tanning & massage or all three are available for a discount at the center.
