The First Cut Film Series is a contest to finance, produce and theatrically release the first features from the top five film students in the country.
To support each filmmaking team, the Series will provide:
* $1 million of production financing and support
* Experienced indie key crew
* A top indie producer [including: Jeb Brody (“Little Miss Sunshine”), Rene Bastian and Linda Moran (“Transamerica”), Michael Roiff (“Waitress”) and Scott Macauley (“Raising Victor Vargas”)] to act as EP on the film, and provide ongoing mentorship.
* Thanks to kind technical sponsors, discounts on things like equipment, stock, and lab work to help stretch the budget.
First round applications will be accepted no later than January 5th, 2007.
