About me: For those who don't know or would like to know more here is a little bit of history....Cyberpolis began in 1993 when we decided to try and find a venue to play and promote industrial music. We did manage to find a venue and in those days we were playing a lot of 'coldwave' industrial - Ministry, KMFDM, Die Krupps etc, unlike today where we tend to concentrate on electro orientated music. This makes us the longest running pure electro/industrial club in the UK! Since then we have been using various clubs, pubs etc to hold Cyberpolis nights and events. The venues we have used in the past are: Hearty Goodfellow, Nottingham; Cookie Club, Nottingham; Future Club, Derby; The Wherehouse, Derby; Coliseum, Derby; Pieces Nightclub, Nottingham (a collaboration with DJ SiN to form 'Club X'); Zone Nightclub and Thurland Hall, Nottingham (another collaboration to form 'Apocalypse'); Victoria Inn, Derby; Dubble Bubble, Nottingham; The Old Angel, Nottingham; The Old Vic, Nottingham; Fair & Firkin, Nottingham; Junktion 7, Nottingham; Rock City and The Rig, Nottingham; Edwards No 8, Birmingham.
Clive from Cyberpolis has guest DJ'd at lots of other places too. These include Carnival of Souls, Derby (and many other Nightbreed organised events); Rock City/The Rig, Nottingham - Graveyard nights; Death Machine, Birmingham; Slimelight, London; Wendyhouse, Leeds; Dead Stars, Bradford; Sam Fays, Nottingham; Electrotribe/Cybertribe, Leicester; Virtual Xmass Festival, Copenhagen; Infest Festival, Bradford; Nemesis Promotions, London and Invocation Festival, Tutbury.
Cyberpolis has also promoted and arranged many gigs by industrial acts over the years. These include Covenant, Evils Toy, VNV Nation, Funker Vogt, Grendel, Noisex, Spahn Ranch, Project X, Accessory, E-Craft, Feindflug, Cenobita, Diary of Dreams,The Nine,Galan Pixs,Psyclon Nine, Inertia and many many more - some of these were also debut UK performances.
Cyberpolis exists to promote electro and industrial music in its many forms, and hopes to advance and develop the scene in the UK by consistently playing current, varied, cutting-edge music from a wide range of artists within the genre - so there!
