Weekly Top Artists

I once tried to list them all and I failed. I am not going to fall into that trap again.
Let's just say that I like a lot of films and like with the music, sometimes I make my own.
Television
Lost, My name is Earl, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica plus UK comedy such as Garth Marenghi, Simon Pegg, Ricky Gervais, Mitchell and Webb and others of that ilk.
Books
"I'm one of the few people who has written more books than they have read."
Seriously though I like anything from Philip K Dick to Dante Alighieri, Terry Pratchet to Arturo Perez Reverte.
It was dark. Not particularly
remarkable for this time of year, but still, so very dark. The wind whipped
fanatical through outstretched, skeletal fingers of autumnal trees. Callously
chilling those defiant or unfortunate enough to be caught outside. Against a
jagged tree-line the silhouette of a decrepit, vacant barn, looming over the
bleak landscape, could just be identified.
A lone form trudged towards the barn from the village. The stranger's
body angled to fight off the advance of the bitter gale as it struggled relentlessly
to penetrate the inner confines of the figures overcoat. The wind howled and
tore at the man's clothes before triumphantly, ripping the hat from the
man's head and carrying it away into the endless night. The stranger solemnly
watched his fedora float away before shrugging, turning back into the gale,
dipping his hands into once warm pockets and continuing his slow progress toward the old, deserted barn.
For all the wind's shrieking and clawing it could never succeed in ending the
stranger's grim advance and just when it seemed the stalemate might never
end, the stranger reached out with both arms and firmly gripped the handles
of the barn door. Almost immediately the wind subsided - the battle won and
the prize now his. The corners of a smile fading away as his face became strained with effort, he began to draw apart the mouth of this forsaken edifice.
If it was dark outside, then there was a total vacuum of light inside the portal of the aged shelter. The man paused to catch his breath before reaching a single gloved hand into his heavy coat and pulling out a shiny windproof lighter. He reached to his left and pulled an unlit lantern from the inside of the barn door. On the ninth stroke the lighter ignited, causing the black of the barn to become an almost unperceivable shade of grey. He touched the flame to the lantern and slowly, with the rising of the flame, came the awful stomach-turning truth...
Who I'd like to meet: My destiny. Or Bill Oddie because he is like the Dad I already had but wanted a trade with, because I was a spoilt little bastard who was never satisfied.
