Cyco Miko released two albums on Suicidal Records. The album 'Schizophrenic Born Again Problem Child' was released in 2001 in the follow up of the 'Lost My Brain Once Again' of 1996.
The Infectious Grooves are a funk metal band led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir. It also features former Excel guitarist Adam Siegel, ex-Suicidal Tendencies, now Metallica, bassist Robert Trujillo, and ex-Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins.
Though Muir's sense of humor was often obvious with Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves often brought out a goofier type of humor: their albums contain comedy skits by a reptilian lover named Sarsippius.
The band can be seen (and heard) performing as the prom band in the 1992 Pauly Shore film Encino Man.
In March 2006, Muir stated on Suicidal Tendencies' official website that the Infectious Grooves had been working on new material. [1] As of 2007, more further details regarding the new album are unknown and it is unclear whether the line-up featuring the Brunner brothers, or the one with Robert Trujillo and Brooks Wackerman, will record it. There has also been no word on whether Siegel will remain in Infectious Grooves for the album as well.
Suicidal Tendencies are an American hardcore punk band, formed in 1982 in Venice, California. Throughout their career, their genre has changed many times, from funk metal to hardcore punk and even thrash metal.
Singer and songwriter Mike Muir (a.k.a. "Cyco Miko") has been the only constant member. Sometimes regarded as the progenitors of skate punk, they later incorporated significant heavy metal, thrash metal, and even funk and hip hop elements into their sound. The band's name was inspired by information about the then local state-run insane asylum, which presently stands as California State University Channel Islands.
Although Suicidal Tendencies have never achieved much commercial success during their years of recording and performing, they are often credited as being among the first bands to mix hardcore punk and metal into a new sound dubbed crossover thrash (along with Anthrax, Beowülf, Corrosion of Conformity, D.R.I., Excel, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D., and many others).....
