Na paisagem montanhosa da cidade de Petrópolis-RJ nasce, no final de 2002, a banda Cyius, composta por cinco amigos dispostos a fazerem o necessário para soarem criativos, harmoniosos, densos, e acima de tudo sinceros.
Com guitarras pesadas, grandes melodias de baixo e vocal, e bateria forte e sólida, a Cyius se destaca não só pela presença forte e marcante de suas guitarras, mas também pela sonoridade e maturidade de suas letras, que além de temas pessoais tratam de assuntos sócio-políticos que revelam a realidade do mundo pós-moderno.
As letras são compostas por poesias e mensagens otimistas, equilibradas com um som pesado e denso que são diretamente influenciados pelas reviravoltas da vida e pela busca da superação no cenário atual que vivemos.
Em suas apresentações, a banda aposta num repertório de composições próprias, selecionando boa parte de seu cd de estréia, intitulado “Onde quer que esteja” que será lançado em abril de 2007, e sempre busca tocar com muita garra e toda a sinceridade que uma banda pode ter ao subir ao palco.

In the mountains landscape of the city of Petrópolis, RIO DE JANEIRO - BRAZIL, it was born in the end of the year 2002, Cyius, composed for five friends willing to make the necessary to sound creative, harmonious, dense, and above all sincere.
With heavy guitars, great melodies of bass and vocals, and strong and solid drums, Cyius do not only detaches for the strong presence of guitars but also for the maturity of its lyrics, that beyond personal subjects, deals with social-political subjects that disclose to the reality of the post-modern world.
The lyrics are composed for optimistic poetries and messages, balanced with a dense heavy sound that are directly influenced by the overturns of life and for the search of the overcoming in the current scenario that we live.
In its live performance, the band selects a couple of their own songs that is going to be in their first Full-length, entitled “Onde Quer Que Esteja (means “Wherever You Are”)” which will be released in April, 2007. The band is always going to play with much hunger and all the sincerity that a band can have when are on stage.
