Cynic Promotions

It's always been a challenge in introducing the crowds around Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN to something new, different and out of the "norm". I watched this music scene go from diverse and unprejudice to some form of elitist social grouping, it has many names but the best way to describe it is that it's music fused with fashion and a social agenda. It's the complete opposite of what we ever thought music was. Somewhere between the selling out of the artists came a whole process that shaped this music scene into a huge market for hardcore and Christian music. I have nothing against the faith of others or the music, I've just always been a "keep church and state separate and keep them from creating politics therein" and now that it's happened to the music scene I've once considered home. I aim to do my best at bringing more inward from outside and help more from the inside, out. I aim to help reformat this city as best I can, the way I know how and using my own contacts for it. I'm not some stuck up L.A. club promoter, I'm not a snakey bar promoter, I'm not offering a million dollars to play a show to ANY band, and I aim to keep things simple. I'm into promoting music on myspace to get the word out about local, regional, and national artists I've come to know, appreciate, and work with in the 4 years I've been promoting and going to shows.

In the past, I have book bands like FACECAGE x1, MANKIND IS OBSOLETE x3, JAW x2, TRUE HIGH CLASS x1, PROFESSOR FRESH x1, VENDETTA SPOKEN x1, LOOK WHAT I DID x1, SINIKIL x1, and more. I've also co-promoted shows with bands like BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and MOTOGRATER. I've promoted artists, online, such as THE SAMMUS THEORY, EYE BUTTERFLY, INTERVENOM, BOUND IN OBLIVION, and more.
