InfluencesMy lovely family of friends. My friendly loving family. My teachers, witting and unwitting. My cats. Everybody else's cats. The cats to whom nobody belongs. My dreams. Your dreams. The positions of the planets. The phases of the moon. The musicality of String Theory. Train whistles late at night. Flowers, before, during and after they bloom. Trees, full out in summer, naked in winter. Rocks. Bugs. Rain. Light. Love. Love. Love. Did I say Love? The persistence of hope. Oh, and choklit. And then there's the coffee....

And these fine folks, among many others, have all participated in the reorganization of my musical DNA....

MY STORY (and I'm sticking to it)
When I was five, my dad got me a baritone ukulele to distract me away from his 1950-something Gibson guitar. What a smart move! He had no idea what he was starting. Mel Bay and a little Taurean determination got me going, and after six years I had saved enough money from shining my dad's shoes and pulling rocks and weeds out of the vegetable garden to buy a 6-string classical guitar from Ernie's record store in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was eleven. It was 1969. I wanted to go to Woodstock but my parents wouldn't let me. Despite that bump in the road, it's generally been uphill from there.

Hey there,
Here's one from left field...
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible.
Help to raise awareness.
Say have you checked out my web site (http://www.faberoptime.com) recently?
Take care and keep in touch.
Best,
Faber.

hey there, Cyndi Craven!

well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!

to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.

we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.

anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com

I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!

please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!

peace from Atlanta, Georgia, USA,

J.A. Etchison
