Cynical, comprised of five close friends from the Monroe/West Monroe, Louisiana area, is a band made up of many different influences all compacted into one original sound, from early Metallica to more modern influences such as Tool and Lamb of God.This current lineup has been together for close to two years. They recorded their 3 song demo in spring of 2008 and have been playing shows to promote it ever since. In the fall of 2007, they were named semi-finalists in the Edge of Madness Battle of the Bands.
