greetings...cynic guru is an alt/pop/rock band that's fronted by a crazed, classically trained violinist. um...that's me. my name is roland. hello. nice to meet you. i'm also a member of the iceland symphony orchestra. so, sometimes i'm a classical guy, and the rest of the times, i'm a crazy band guy. it's like a dual life thingy. our cd got picked up by the biggest record company here in iceland (i'll get to the iceland part in a sec). the cd came out sept. 2005, spawned a number 1 hit on the rock station with our first single entitled "drugs", and was voted "album of the week" for the week of oct. 17th. we've got a lot of momentum going for us right now...and it's quite yummy. okay, so iceland. yeah. i'm an american living in iceland. the band cynic guru, although originally based in los angeles, is now living and breathing in reykjavik, iceland. what can i say...it's an amazing place. northern lights, geysirs, volcanoes, the blue lagoon (no, not the movie...look it up on the net)...iceland is very "in" these days. anyway, if you're still reading this, then congratulations! you have just earned the right to be our "myspace friend"! yeah! you deserve it! so, now that you're our friend, check out all the tastes and smells at our website www.cynicguru.com. it's really swell. it's VERY really swell.................***UPDATE***.................cynic guru's debut cd "iceland" has been licensed for release by two record companies...fat northerner records from the uk, and westwood records of japan. "iceland" was released this past feb. in japan, and our first single "drugs" will be released in the uk this june. also, this june cynic guru will embark on a uk tour, organized by manilla pr and fat northerner records. furthermore, a summer 06' tour of japan is currently in the works.
hey how are you guys ??? it's good to see you back home again :P :P waiting for your performance :) best wishes :P and don't forget to make a smile :)))
