FDA Product Recall List
..

Cynth The Poet is one of those sort of people who could be called a “late bloomer.” In her case, it means that she was busy living life before feeling confident enough to actually write songs about everything that affects the human soul. While being a bit of an enigma to all but those closest to her, she captures in her music a view that has been battered around a bit and is only slightly worse for wear.

While for some music is food for life, for Cynth it is her lifeline that has allowed her to survive some of the worst of what life has to offer. Without going into too much detail, she has overcome situations that would normally destroy most mortals’ minds, bodies and spirits. Through words and music, she has transformed her scars beyond their place in her private history--they have become art.

Now that she is making up for twenty years of lost time, Cynth has no reason to take her foot off the gas pedal and go into cruise control for the rest of her life and career. There are just too many experiences for her to share, and she sees no reason to take it easy from here on in.

Your Glengarry Glen Ross Character is... James Lingk

Tired of being a milquetoast, James decides to take on...James.
You're polite and trusting, qualities that serve you ill when you fall into bad company. Your penchant for drink is causing you trouble, as well. Can you change your ways, and become more of a Man? Maybe, but first check with your wife to make sure it's OK.

SF Summer of Love Rock n Roll Review

Jun 28 2009 6:25 PM

Come celebrate America's birthday with a little Peace Love and ROCK N ROLL!!

The Marina Music Festival honors the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock featuring a live musical tribute to Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Who, and Creedence Clearwater Revival .

Hosted by Music Source at the luxurious Waterfront Marina Concert Hall, 4211 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 featuring live performances, BBQ, art, and of course a stellar Fourth of July fireworks display. Show starts at 8PM

Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Artistspalooza organization for the arts.

David Lockhart's painfully excessive capturing of the booze-swilling and constantly concupiscent Jim Morrison is an encyclopedic homage to the ethos of rock. Boudeeka's haunting accurate portrayal of Janis Joplin is a tribute to women in rock and the raw emotion that was so much a part of the scene. Carlton Poward is an almost frightening replica with his spot-on Jimi Hendrix characterization and inspired guitar playing.

(Hi: enjoyed my visit.)

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Cynth,

Welcome to Billy's Bunker (Music Reviews)! It's been busy in the Bunker.

The latest review is Adrian Belew's "Side Two," which CD is good evidence that brother Adrian has become a full bodied 21st Century composer with a syntax of instrumental meaning from the chrysalis of Nuevo Metal born.

Adrian Belew "Side Two" ~ 21st Century composition from the chrysalis of Nuevo Metal born . . .

Wussy (Eponymous) ~ This Wussy Will Hit You Like A Truck
IsWhat?! "NuTakes" ~ Avant Jazz Hip Hop Genius
Terry Riley "The Cusp of Magic" ~ Kronos Quartet & Wu Man..
Cedar Hill Refugees "Pale Imperfect Diamond" ~ Uzbek musicians, Appalachian singers and songs
Clare Means "White Bamboo" ~ extraordinary singer and songs
The Sundresses "Barkinghaus" ~ as though rock developed from 1920's jazz & blues
Jadoo "Prairie Fire" ~ improvised music from Uzbekistan and the U.S.

Thank you for being my friend!
