I sing because I have to...like the birds..I try to help other musicians, never compete or play "I'm the hot diva" game. The life of an true artist is hard enough and since no two singers sound alike, why compete? Work with Peace in your Heart and Sound in your Soul. Women are still on the outside of the rock-alt-boy-jam world and we can band together in strength and power. We can create a new arena of witchy female wisdom and full womanhood, outside the pop world of dancing drunken Barbies.

HISTORY:
Cyoakha Grace: words, melodies, Indian Harmonium, German Melodica, djembe, dumbek, keys, loops, Native flutes & noise toys. A rare performer with a 4 octave voice, an unusual bent and a love for new musical paths. As lead singer with LAND OF THE BLIND, AZIGZA and DRUID SISTERS TEA PARTY she stands out with eco lyrics, poetic performance, tons of weird effects & a soaring voice. As a recording artist, she's worked on everything from World to Trance to even Comedy.
A composer for horror movies, shorts and indie films including H.P. LOVECRAFT'S soundtrack, her sound is a wonderfully strange mix of dreamy and otherworldly without being "New Age" soft, dark and sensual without being "Goth", butt kicking strong without falling into Rock, she defies being put in a box.
She worships Nature and Creativity and thus calls herself a WITCH, meaning to her, one in deep connection with the Earth, the trees, the seasons and Magic. Cyo believes that sound can be a healing tool as well as a way assisting listeners to take a journey with her through trance or channeled singing.
"My first memory is the light above my crib, dust floating in the sunlight and being awkstruck by the beauty of this physical world, secondly, I recall the sound of bird song."
The environment is more important to this Green Irish Faerie than competing in the pop diva world scene/the "music biz" so her focus reflects this. She shares her work with Land of the Blind royality free to indie movies focusing on saving the planet. "I have always been GREEN. BLIND performs in park and playa on re-chargable batteries. As an Earth-Loving-Tree-Hugging leftist WITCH, how can I ignore my mother? I believe deeply in transforming the chaos of this current world so we can CHANGE, GROW and CREATE a less comsumer-based society through action, meditation, magic and prayer. But lest you think me serious, remember I'm a BURNER that's all about FUN in COMMUNITY, a HOLY FOOL, a SACRED CLOWN and the TRICKSTER Coyote all in one. PEACE!
