When it’s all said and done, all I was trying to do was make it out. On the biggest night of my life I will be faced with everything I was trying to get away from. I know I did a lot of dirt and I guess it’s finally catching up to me. But damn, all my people are here caught up too, but they decided to be here. They say, after the laughter comes the tears, and we all had smiles on our faces before we stepped out this door.
I’m mad at myself when I locked eyes with this one individual, of all the times tonight I leave my gun at home. If I had my burner, I would’ve aimed right in between them same eyes that were starring back at me. It was my fault because I seen all the signs, I even had a vision of this very thing happening. I wasn’t mad, I was more hurt because I put my trust in this person knowing I couldn’t really trust them.
But my crew, I tried my best to keep them out of situations like this. I looked at everyone and they all looked at me like I had all the answers. Honestly, I was just as confused as they were. I guess sometimes being a leader you forget that you got followers. But you cant choose to be a leader, you either is or aint.
I was ready to say F it and risk everything, but the door behind me bursting open disrupted my thoughts. So before all of this ends I remembered back to where it all begins. The sound of gunfire brings back different types of memories. As I lay on the ground I start to see how everything fell into place and there was no way this could have been avoided.
