Cytosoul comprises four musicians composing and improvising sonic textures while mixing jazz, classical waltzes and art-songs into a cohesive collection of songs.
In April, 2007, the group was featured on a Sonarchy radio broadcast in Seattle, WA. The four musicians were so intently tuned into each other that they performed one of their most expressive performances of their material (and even wrote a new song on the fly). With all but one song taken from this broadcast, the group has put together their first CD, “Balance.” Though classified as jazz, each member's varied background in classical and folk music comes through in the compositions and performances for this work. Cytosoul's melodically captivating, lush dynamic arrangements make this a CD to be explored and savored from start to finish.
