Gaming, such as board, video, and game shows. Platform-action, Musical and Fighting games, mostly. Indoorsy activities like bowling, minigolfing, and occasionally skating, though I haven't done that in a few years, now.
Music
Anything but HonkyTonk, BoyBand junk, or that kind of Mariachi that's one musical phrase repeated 1024 times. That crap drives me nuts! Pretty much anything else is cool with me. (Lately, it's been videogame soundtracks.) 'XD Mostly 80's rock, techno/dance, and DDR-related tunes. I have a weakness for MegaMan tracks, too; but don't we all? Most of my CD's are compliation albums.
Movies
Animated. Action. Comedy. Romance. Sci-Fi. Obsurdly imaginative, or chronologically challenged. Sexually gracious, but with more to it than JUST that. The more of those bases you can cover at once, the better. Good examples include Read or Die (OVA), Demolition Man, Star Trek: First Contact, Pulp Fiction, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Also, I'm a Marvel Movie whore.
Television
The CBS Monday Night "Bang/Your Mother" block, Tuesday night's NCIS/Mentalist, and Scrubs/Bones are just about all I'm tuning into anymore. I miss good 80's gameshows (and their bloopers!). I also own R.O.D. (OVA), Chrono Crusade, Outlaw Star, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, VanDread, Season 1-2 of The 4400, and Drawn Together. (A couple more I can't think of, too.) And now, "I My Me! Strawberry Eggs" as well. It's hilarious!
Books
Personal finance/inspiration, psychology, comics/manga. See "Movies" for fictional genre info. Most of what I own is inspirational, and I read fiction/comics off the shelves. Living on a pirateship budget does that to you.
Disclaimer: I've fallen into 1976 and I can't get out! No, seriously; I'm watching over my bedridden Grandma. There's no internet access there, and I don't have cellphone minutes very often, now. She's expected to be better by around Halloween. Or so I hope. I might be gone awhile.
I've completed a certification program for Accounting/Bookkeeping through Managerial-level this past year, and I'm STILL working on launching my new career in that field. Other career interests of mine include software/game design, game show hosting, philosophical writing, and exotic dancing. ;)
Come and celebrate the 10th anniversary of DDR with DDR PwrMix! (for Stepmania/DWI)
Featuring over 150 of your (or somebody's) favorite DDR-tunes in more than 30 continious nonstop mixes, these stages will be sure to keep you moving for hours. Each one is theme-oriented, and inspired by one of many versions of DDR you've enjoyed over the years.
Also, if you haven't played Spelunky, you should look it up. It's an exceptional time-burner, a perfect balance of simple and divine! It's d/l'able at the "TIGSource" forums. Here's the jist of it:
There's more to it than that, of course. But that's for you to discover!
Who I'd like to meet:
I'm actually pretty comfortable spending most of my time by myself. I do, on occasion, get a little social and stir-crazy though. Collaborative fighting/musical gamers ahoy!
Due to a recent accident (non-injury) around the home, I probably won't be going out for awhile. Things around here need fixing up, so I'll probably be busy keeping an eye on things in the meantime. :}
