About me:

..Where to start?

I am for the most part the same stubborn ass that I've always been. I'm pretty sure is a key trait in the McDaniel gene pool. I'm old fashioned, set in my ways, and extremely perverted. You might say I have all the qualities that will some day qualify me for the title “Dirty Old Bastard”.

I've mad my share of mistakes, hell I've probably made enough for four or five people by now. All I can do is learn from them and move on, and hope by doing so become a better person. Hopefully, I'll be able to pass a good lesson or two down to by kids, though if they're anything like me... oh God, let's just hope they take more after their mother.

I'm not in the physical shape I was in high school. I'd blame it on having an office job and long hours, but it's really my own damn fault. I've been working on getting back into shape, but it's been a slow process. Would love to go running again, but have no one to run with these days...

For a brief while I was taking Brazilian Jui-Jitsui, however for a number of reasons (primarily financial) that didn't last long. I'd love to get back into it someday if I could, though I'd much rather find a place teaching JF/JKD like I was at years ago. I found that I like JKD more than BJJ. (Not to be confused with “a BJ” which is completely different!)

I am a technology geek, which has been a source of the previously mention financial issues. As some of you may know I was once upon a time the Senior Editor (among other things) for a popular PC enthusiast website. Due to a number of reasons I left and attempted to start up my own technology website which lasted for a little over a year before I was forced to pull the plug. As an old employer of mine use to say “anything is possible with time and money” and at the time (and still now) I had neither.

Being the geek that I am, I use to be hot and heavy into computers. As time went on, that love faded, and now I'd consider myself more of a gadget and gizmo kinda guy. I love my iPhone, iPod, TiVo, and gaming consoles. I could still build me a decent rig if I wanted to, but I've been out of the hardware loop for so long, I couldn't tell you what's best for what application anymore.

While I always goofed off doing light HTML work, over the last few years I've managed to become a somewhat skilled PHP (non-OO!!) developer. Excuse me while I pat myself on the back, but I've managed to create some kick ass web apps for work.

Ok, enough about the geeky stuff... I know, all of that tech babble made you hot, right?

Aside from technology related stuff, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, but I also like to have my alone time. I love music, movies, soccer, being outside, and food.

If I could be anywhere right now, I'd want to be at the beach with the one I love, sitting in the soft sand, feet in the cool water, sipping on a stiff drink, with the warn sun on my face... the dog and a few little brats running around. Yeah, that'd be nice. Kind of sounds like a Corona commercial.

By now I'm sure you've seen some of the bulletins I've posted. Hopefully you find them humorous and entertaining. It's safe to say that well over half the answers are complete and utter BS, while the remaining answers are likely to be BS as well. Though I do tend to mix in a little truth everyone once in a while to see who's paying attention. It's all good fun for me and my friends from the gutter. :)
