About me:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting We are an example of divine creation. When artists, activists, teachers, mentors, entrepanures, students, leaders, and parents manifest in unity. When the communities raise their consciousness. When our mission meets our passions. When society calls for action. This unique collaboration is The Diversity Poets Educators, A Refection of You An artistic base organization dedicated to community service. Using art and literature to mentor to the youths and young adults. Implementing self-expression through spoken word/poetry, visual, and performing arts. Focusing on volunteerism to aid other programs and organization in their efforts. The Diversity Poet Educators hosts events, festivals, and workshops to utilize their programs. Teaching various art forms and operating open mic venues to promote performing arts and freedom of speech. The group came together in February 2005 working as volunteers on The Word Up Poetry Festival in Norfolk, Virginia. After the success of the festival and eager to promote art to the community, the group of volunteers started a movement, The Diversity Poet Educators. A non-profit community outreach organization dedicated to touching lives through all forms of art. Taking their entrepenural leadership to the youths and the community, creating a positive outlet for the masses that seek inspiration. The Prototype magazine is an art and culture publication. Covering everything from visual arts, and performing arts All the way to hip-hop and other music geners, books reviews, current events, community activism and events, classifieds, finance, cultural activities and many more. Spoken Word By Diversity Poet Educators

Walking with a Panther presents a fictitious look at the legacy of the notorious Black Panther Party. Protagonist “R. J. Jackson,” a once proud member of “The Party” is released from prison 23 years after being involved in the bombing of a building that resulted in the homicide of one man. Confused and embittered after his long prison stay, “R. J.” must now confront not only his estranged family, but also himself.

Written and Directed by Sheri Bailey:

She is the winner of numerous awards and competitions including three NAACP Theatre Image Award nominations for "Best Playwright." The world premiere of her six-cycle drama series Summers in Suffolk was presented at the Los Angeles-based Towne Street Theatre in 1996. Ms Bailey is the fiounder of the Hapton Roads Junteenth Festival
