Sounds Like
Said The Gramophone on "Cage of Ribs": Sometimes the alarm clock goes off and you leap clear out of bed, swizzle-twisting in the air, like a corkscrew of streamer that lands in socked feet on the floor. Sometimes you do it with headphones on, just walking down the street, listening to some San Diego indie rock band.
Exclaim! album review: A personal favourite though is "Standards of a Rock Album". The lyrics are clever, the vocals reach the perfect pitch of whiny, the piano almost brings me to tears, and then that gnarly guitar solo kicks in and out, which just might be the best solo I’ve heard all year.
Cat Dirt Sez album review:
It’s easy to discern an artistic vision already: fuzzy/gauzy California style indie rock. There is some talent in here, particuarly if this group is as young as I think.
Shawne Malik:
Da Bears sound fiery and alive, playing their instruments as if the concept of music was their own personal creation. This gang of youth brings a palpable sense of excitement and fun to their songs, and their attitude is not only witty, but also likeable...
Brandan Glendenning:
[Da Bears] take modern styles and exploit them, abuse them, neglect them and give them a big group hug in the end because they love them and never meant to hurt them.
We missed you!!! thats what we get for being dirty hippies and not having the internet anymore and hearing about your show entirely too late and we really shouldve seen you in SF!! im sure it rocked~ as always. LOVE to All! Kitty & the Old Man
