Da Bulldozer Project is a collaboration between producer Dennis-M
(Dennis Moerkerk) and vocalist DA-TMC (Tom Ketting), they were
friends long before they started Da Bulldozer Project. In the late
80’s they met eachother in a place called "The Wall" in Rotterdam
because both worked as DJ’s. In this place musicians used to meet and
play their instruments together. During those years Dennis also
played guitar intensively in several Metal bands and was preparing
himself to go to the school of performing arts, Tom used to played in
a Punk band called "hippie assault". As popularity of electronic
dance music became bigger in this period, Tom and Dennis, who were
interested by this music stream, decided to organize some "acid house
parties" in The Wall. Meanwhile Dennis bought some equipment to
record his guitar music, and Tom was experimenting with his casio sk
-1 sampler. One night Dennis and Tom were very drunk and took their
new instruments and recorded some stupid dance tracks not knowing
that this night would eventually be the beginning of Da Bulldozer
Project. After practicing a couple of times the tracks became of
better quality and Dennis and Tom started an electronic liveband
"Soundlab". After a couple of live performances in the Rotterdam
dance scene and playing everything REAL live!! Dennis decided to make
his own demo and Tom allready started to host different house parties
as a MC. When Dennis finished his demo, he gave it to DJ Rob who was
then the resident DJ in the legendary Parkzicht. DJ Rob really liked
the demo and Dennis was offered to release some records on DJ Rob’s
hardcore label "Coolman Records". Tom who also hooked up with DJ Rob
performed on several big rave’s organized by DJ Rob. Dennis and Tom
were now full members of the Coolman crew. After a while Tim-B, who
was also a Coolman producer, asked Tom to make a record together.
When the tracks were finished Dennis made a remix of the track
"Bleeding Ears" and because they really liked the result of this
track Dennis and Tom decided to work together again as "Da Bulldozer
Project". Dennis responsible for producing the tracks and Tom for
lyrics and as a MC at the live performances. The following years
three records were released with of course the hitrecord "Arise".
Because both are continiously working, and Dennis is also producing
different projects there has not always been enough studio time for
"Da Bulldozer Project" to make a new release. But finally after a
long period of absence they re back!! playing on big raves throughout
Europe and soon releasing new tracks, Keep your ears and eyes open.
They shall Arise!!!
