ello people!
After 6 incredible years Da Capo have decided to call it a day! Thank you to everyone who has ever helped and supported the band, it has always been much appreciated. Our Split has been a joint and amicable, yet sad, decision by all members.
A special thanks to:
Malignant Tumour;
Viva Knievils;
Gurkha;
Slaughter House 57;
Disco Volante;
Bob @ The Junction;
There are undoubtedly more who deserve a shout (leave a comment and let yaselves be known) but we are bored now... ;o)
So thanks again, and please keep an eye out, as we are sure we will all be making an appearance in new projects in the near future...
...it's been a blast.
Da Capo. XxxX
Da Capo are a high-voltage, turbo rock'n'roll band from the south west of England, UK. With their energy-fueled live performances, now into the hundreds, UK radio performances and self-released CDs, Da Capo have earned a legion of dedicated followers... See You In Hell...
... "Da Capo are one of the hardest working rock...hardcore punk....punk...punk-rock...rock'n'roll...stoner rock...(ask the drummer!)...bands around, with countless gigs played in the UK and just back from a tour of Czech and Slovakia.
So when the four lads from Bristol and Wales turned up to the studio on Sunday evening with two cars full of Marshall stacks, half a dozen guitars, a huge Gretsch drum kit and enough beer to keep Homer Simpson happy, I knew I was in for an interesting week.
My speakers (and ears) took a pounding all week, guitars were down-tuned so low that only dogs and minke whales could hear the bottom strings, the re-cycling bin had to be emptied of beer cans every other day, Pot-noodle's yearly profits tripled and Kip turns into a trained MI5 assassin if you whisper the words 'do it again' into his left ear.
The resulting super heavy guitar sounds, raw vocals, dirty bass and overdriven drums, which purposely sound retro and lo-fi in places, gel to give a modern edgy vibe to some great song writing and parallel the hi-energy impact the band have when playing live."
