big cities, suburban gardens, bad dancing, tiny amplifiers, kitchen appliances, wikipedia, girls on bicycles, clouds, digestion, big old sofas, pub quizzes, cricket and pop music™.
we are a skronky three piece pop band from london town. we sing honest songs about growing up in suburbia, getting on the city, and fighting inertia with mental powers. we enjoy harmonising and whooping, and we love to crank it out with our amps on eleven.
we live for playing live and pride ourselves on being twisted, melodious and ferociously tight. we think it's what we do best of all, and we want you to come along and join in the fun. for if you join in, you are part of daddy long legs too, and when YOU get down, daddy long legs gets down.
BBC news magazine had this to say about daddy long legs: "there is no escaping them, lolloping around and battering into every window, wall, light and person that gets in their way". can't argue with that.
Daddies, you have made me weep. Despite all the silence, not once were you forgotten ... nor will any of you or your music ever be. I'll head over to the new blog site, now that I've read the last post here.
Always remember that you're greatly loved ... Jules

i know a guy whos bike only has one speed he rode it into work at 5am. he didnt know the short cut so he went round the one way system with a couple of cars. he got to work after 10 and 20 minutes with patches under his pits and a haze in his eyes. with a tremble in both legs he walked the stairs 'why are you so sweaty?' people asked. with a deep breath he explained. 'i didnt know the short cut to work. so i came the long way round' people looked confused someone pulled a grin. 'you could've made it here in 10 minutes. DOWN HILL!' i know a guy whos bike only has one speed.
