Billy King was born a poor white child.....got his first guitar when he was about 12...played in a jr. high "combo" where they agreed the worst guitar player would play bass (Billy's been a bass player ever since!) Billy then went on to play in a band in high school that turned into "Daniel "- one of Dallas' top bands of the 70s (record contracts and concerts with national artists, etc.) after that Billy played with a number of bands - Sagebrush, Hummin'bird (compilation album), Stevie and the Stealers (compilation album), Will Barnes Band (album/Records), Bowley and Wilson (albums/records/radio play) - both very popular during the 80s. Billy was inducted into the Buddy Magazine Texas Tornadoes in 94 or 95....(Billy may have skipped over a few minor bands) till at last we come to Daddy Rocks where we have developed a unique Texas Blues sound that I think will catch on - Kyle's musical styling coupled with Billy's lyrics and Mike's solid drumming goes a long way together. ....................................................................................................................
Mike Love knew he wanted to be in a rock band when the Beatles hit the music scene in 1964. Mike began beating on album covers in his room at the age of 13 listening to the British Invasion groups until he drove his parents crazy. Mike bought his first set of drums later that year and joined his first band called the Tribesmen. Mike then began playing with a group called the Livin End drumming and singing lead voclals. This lasted a year when James Buck (currently with Cold Blue Steel) saw Mike playing at a local dance and asked Mike join him in forming James Buck and the Roustabouts. Mike played with Buck until he was recruited by a garage band called Blue Monsoon that played dances in local towns in southern Oklahoma along the Red River . Leaving the group to go to college only to join a hot dance band the 13th Our that lasted 3 years until graduation. Windstruck, Sheer Happy and Rear View Mirror were a couple of country and western bands Mike played in. Moving to Texas in 1990 Mike joined a group called Sole Poets that did all originals. Wanting to get back to classic rock Mike answered an ad and joined DaddyRocks. The chemistry and personnel of the group is amazing "I could not ask for a better group of guys to form a Brotherhood".

Kyle Black got his first guitar when he was 6 but began his musical education playing piano at age 4. Kyle took piano lessons through the fourth grade when he discovered his love for the guitar, from then on it was nothing but the guitar. Kyle got his first real guitar (a Les Paul) at age 13 and studied as much material as he could get his hands on. Kyle's first band was called Armored Thrust, followed by Strychnine, Nasty Boots, Drivin' South, Dagan's Edge, Blackwater, Tres Hombres, Top Thizz, and now Daddy Rocks. Kyle has played all types of music from hard rock and heavy metal to pop rock and blues.
