Led by former Ten Speed Racer drummer Terry Cullen (who’s now upfront on guitar and vocals), DK are now beginning to weave a very agreeable web of sound. Their new drummer has added a new dimension and her repetitively simple Mo Tucker/ Klaus Dinger approach of playing the same beat on virtually every song allows the band to swerve from Ride-style FX ethereality to Nirvana-ish heaviosity in fine style. Terry’s gruff voice blends seamlessly with Katie O’Sullivan’s second vocal and the occasional use of a loudhailer gives them an additional edge. Cullen also gets my vote for appearing resplendent in a rather fine T-shirt bearing the inscription ‘New York Fucking City.’ Chapp (tim peacock)
DAE KIM STICKY FINGERS
brand new ep from this outfit fronted by the former ten speed racer drummer terry cullen, the ep features sticky fingers, angels of the universe and postcard, some really good and sleazy indie rock sounds with a real sixties garage rock flavour to it, may 2007
Dae Kim cultivated their sleazy rock stomps and pounding drum and bass selections playing strip clubs and strictly afterdark bars.
Hailed by NME as 'leaders of the new shoe-gaze movement' and with The Irish Times describing their track All That Glitters as having 'drama deeply buried in it's grooves', Dae Kim's debut album Matador was released on Sofa Records in 2005.
A lush, layered, dramatic affair, the album heralded the return of Ten Speed Racer drum man Terry Cullen, now up front on vocals and guitars.
The album release paved the way for a host of Irish and International tour dates, with numerous headline shows and tours of Germany, Belgium and the UK. Support slots to date have included the Warlocks,Babyshambles amongst many others.
Dae Kim release their first EP Sticky Fingers on May 25th, 2007 on Bloodlust Records, through FIFA Records. Recording on the second album will begin this summer, with a planned release early in 2008.
The debut album from ex drummer with irish outfit ten speed racer terry cullen under the guise DAE KIM is a collection of sounds falling somewhere between the lush dramatics of low, galaxy 500 and the layered guitar genius of slowdive and my bloody valentine, mellow slow building walls of noise interspersed with some very sultry vocals and acoustic tracks, a very fine debut, november 2005.(road records)

One sampled far too much ale. And local wine, and local "grappa"...Jeeeyasis. About 4 all nighters on the go and me body was in ribbons. I'm getting too old for this shit Terry!! :)
