I have a lot of friends that are suffering with the loss of family members. I feel without Jesus Christ and the hope of eternal life, our lives would be ruled by a fear of death. But Jesus has triumphed over death; it is no longer the ultimate end of life, and it no longer hangs over everything we do and think. I feel at that moment they put their trust in Jesus. Who went to the cross as our substitute and died for our death penalty, in the moment they cry out "Jesus, I'm Yours," you have "crossed over from death to life. Death has lost its power because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Death, physical or spiritual, is no longer a threat to who loves the Lord or anything to be afraid of.
