DAEMONIA was born in 1999. " We wanted to give new life to some of the most famous horror songs written by Goblin, Claudio Simonetti, Keith Emerson, Ennio Morricone for Dario Argento's movies. Our first release is "Dario Argento Tribute" (Sony music/S4 2000). Some of the titles: PROFONDO ROSSO, SUSPIRIA, PHENOMENA, ZOMBIE, DAWN OF THE DEAD, TENEBRE, OPERA......"
During the "Dario Argento Tribute" tour we recorded some concerts with the Movie Strings Orchestra, we choose our best performances in a live album "Live...or dead" (Deep Red/Audioglobe 2001)!!! There are 3 studio bonus tracks: Halloween, Tubular bells (the Exorcist) and Gamma.
The "Live...or dead" tour gave us the chance to play all around the world: USA , JAPAN , EUROPE.
December 2005: "Zombie dawn of the dead", a special box with 4 DVD and one CD. Here you can find the Daemonia version of the score (disk 5), originally written by Goblin, an extract of our next DVD "Live in Los Angeles" and an interview with Claudio Simonetti.
The DVD "DAEMONIA-DARIO ARGENTO TRIBUTE-LIVE IN LOS ANGELES" is finally released in a special "Digipack Box".
In the DVD of the live concert you will find in the extras also the videoclips of "Suspiria, "Opera" and "Profondo Rosso" directed by Sergio Stivaletti.
The Box furthermore contains also the CD of the soundtrack of the film "ZOMBI/DAWN OF THE DEAD" re-arranged with three extra bonus tracks:
ROLLER, TOCCATA E FUGA and IL CARTAIO at the incredible price of 18 euros.
