"Dafydd Saer played a stunning and flawless set at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Saer is a highly skilled guitarist with wonderful rhythm-soul songs, and an excellent vocal range. The audience warmed immediately to his music and playful song introductions. He is an experienced and charismatic performer with natural stage presence. We recommend him without hesitation."
Tiernan & O'Grady, Acoustic Platform @ Aberystwyth Arts Centre

What I've been up to
Y gorffennol
Left school and worked as a tape op in a Cardiff recording studio, recording and playing with great players like Pino Palladino, Richard Dunn, Micky Gee, Aran Ahmun, Iain Scott, Tich Gwilym, Myf Isaacs, Pete Hurley, Dai 'Tank' Watkins, Phil Ryan, Neil Lockwood and others passing through on a daily basis.
Started doing TV sessions mainly on bass, taking over a few sessions from Pino when he went to become famous. TV work dried up with the advent of S4C and work moving north. Wish I'd moved to London then, but didn't... carried on playing in local bands such as Red Beans and Rice.
Eventually found myself gravitating more towards songwriting and solo performance rather than being a sideman. Worked recently on new Huw Chiswell album, contributing guitars, mandolin, banjo and backing vox, with Richard Dunn, Chris Childs and Paul Beavis.
