About me:
Dance, music, family and friends are my life. I miss one or the other when I'm consumed by one or the other.... I've got to have a lot of each to be happy. My passions are live music performance and traveling abroad.
Currently, I teach most night of the week and perform most every weekend. I'm also studying mandolin and have been a singer all my life (which lends quite nicely to the dancing!).
I've spent the last few years honing my skills as a performer and instructor. One of my greatest pleasures is seeing students/peers have that "I get it" moment. Throughout 15 of studying belly dance, I've been honored to receive a few prestigious awards along the way~ 2006 Double Crown Performing Artist, 2007 Belly Dancer of the Universe (+ 1st runner-up Fusion soloist), and 2008 Folkloric Grand Champion from the International Belly Dance Convention in Las Vegas.
My biggest inspirations are Leila (one of my troupe mates from years past who's now a famous dancer in Cairo)- www.LeilainEgypt.com, and UNMATA, a now famous troupe out of Sacramento who never fail to "wow" me when I see them perform. UNMATA is the antithesis of what I do with belly dance, and so, I secretly want to be them! - www.unmata.com I host each of these performers in Seattle annually, so keep an eye on my events if you're interested.

Which Egyptian God or Goddess do you represent? Ma'at, Goddess of Order, Harmony, and Truth Ma'at was the goddess of physical and moral law in Egypt, of order and truth. She was not much of a goddess, but more of a concept. She was what was right; she was the way things should be. You lead a very well-ordered life. You are just and keep things in balance. You know just how to react to things, and people like you for that.
Which faerie element are you? (Breathtaking faerie pics by Amy Brown, Nene Thomas and such)
You are an Earth Faerie. You are well humored but prefer to keep your feet planted firmly on the ground with mother earth rather than to spend all day flying. You love everything green and feel deeply sad when human troubles upset the earth's fragile ecosystem and environment. You specialize in green magic, the art of growing and perserving things through magic. Your gem is the emerald, the green beauty. Take this quiz!
Who I'd like to meet: Dancers, musicians, spiritualists, philosophers, critical thinkers, etc.
Which Irish Goddess Are You? (awesome pics)
You are Brighid, the goddess of poetry, healing and craft (especially metal craft). Your name, meaning "bright arrow," serves as the inspiration to all bards, artisans, scholars and any who work with words. You see art and beauty in so many things that you emulate creativity. Take this quiz!
You are an Earth Witch! The Material Element of Earth is at your command. You feel out of your skin when confined to the indoors but instantly feel better once your bare feet are touching the Earth you love so much. You nurture all things you feel need nurturing and don't care what people think of you for it. Blunt to the point of having no tact, you don't like to beat around the bush, no pun intended. It takes a lot to get you riled up, but Goddess help the poor soul who gets to you. They'll probably end up 6 feet under... or deeper.Common Powers:Geokinesis- the ability to move rock and metal with one's mindFlorakinesis- the ability to control trees, plants, and flowers with one's mindHealing touch- the ability to heal another person with their touchShapeshifting- the ability to take on the form and abilities of another Take this quiz!
Thank you for your laughs & smiles, your dreams, your hopes, your
friendship...seasons greetings & blessings to you, yours & all...with love and respect...Bruce
