"They achieve something that in Estonia is rare and in this genre almost unprecedented: being a band in all its’ chemistry and making good original music, not just a couple of successful songs. Pop-rock not for MTV but for the music lover."
Jüri Lotman
"A certain emotional weight, and at the same time, urgency and bravado are what make Dahling great."
Mart Normet (Raadio 2)
"Dahling are technically strong and they know their guitars very well."
Toms Grievins (Radio SWH)
"The debut album by this Tartu band is characterized by memorable melodies, thoughtful lyrics and good arrangements. Everything is in place, like the kitchen, living room and bedroom of a clean household."
Penny Lane (penny-l.blogspot.com)
"Dahling doesn’t rock loudly or aggressively but does it with skill and conviction. Dahling’s cool and arrogant melodicism makes them easily accessible and after a while this whole album of songs grabs you so tightly that you are surprised of the magic of music."
Maris Meiessaar (Eesti Päevaleht)
"The arrangements are brightened by the texture woven by the piano, synthesizer and the effect-laden guitar sound. Also, you will definitely notice the silvery-voiced singer (who is occasionally – in the lower registers – a little overforced) and lyrics, pregnant with coded messages."
Andri Riid (Eesti Ekspress)
"Foreign on the outside, local on the inside, this five-piece of “desirable bachelors” has landed with big promise and offers great universal feelings with memorable stadium melodies, and does this with more ambition than we are used to."
Erkki Tero (Playboy)
„Estonians prove that they can also write similar rock melodies to the modern british ones.”
Kaspars Zavileiskis (FHM Latvia)
"Theatrical guitar-rock is very easy to “overdo”, but luckily Dahling manages to be emotional without being pathetic."

Combining their own unique brand of pop sensibilities with bold and brash melodicism as well as insightful lyrics, Dahling have rocked around Estonia for years. Now, they finally stand on the verge of both domestic and international breakthrough.
Dahling was formed in 2000 by five young students of the Universitas Tartuensis. Of these founding members, singer/songwriter Tanel, bassist Juhan and keyboardist Elmer have remained. Now accompanied by drummer Kaarlo and guitarist Siim, they have a strong platform from which to soar.
In November 2007, Dahling released their long-awaited debut album under Estonian record label Tallinn Records. They chose an elegant and modern way to present it - with a 30-minute online concert that was broadcasted on the website of one of the most popular Estonian newspapers, Eesti Päevaleht. The album release was followed by a tour with dates in Estonia and Latvia.
The Latvian tour was not the first time for the band to give concerts abroad, in September 2005 Dahling spent 3 weeks in Slovakia as part of an EU promotional tour, giving 10 concerts and enjoying its fair share of local media attention in the process.
Self-titled album received positive feedback from the fans, as well as the media - magazines like Playboy (Est) and FHM (LV) were among many to acknowledge their songwriting skills and talent. First single off the album, Menthol, was one of the most played Estonian songs on Radio 2 (Est) in 2007.
In 2008, the band will concentrate on live performances and hopefully you will meet us at some summer festivals and club gigs everywhere in the Baltics... and in Turkey.
