.. .. .. Ne au Senegal dans la ville de Dakar, NiX, se presente comme l'une des valeurs sures du rap africain. Comme la majeure partie des jeunes de sa generation, Nix fait dabord connaissance avec le mouvement hip-hop par la danse. Son amour pour le rap se multiplie lorsqu'il ecoute les albums de Doug E Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Father MC, Public Enemy.. Il decouvre le rap francais grace a MC Solaar, Assassin, NTM et IAM. Ces artistes reveillent en lui la volonte d'ecrire et de se faire sa place dans l'hemisphere rap senegalais. C'est ainsi qu'il forme le groupe Kantiolis avec Ibrahim, Bap's et GeSer et remporte le meilleur groupe de rap senegalais au CCF (Centre Culturel Francais) en 1994 et 1995...

Avec Kantiolis, c'est 10 bonnes annees de concerts et shows a travers les ecoles et les premieres parties d'artistes au Senegal: Alliance Ethnik, Menelik, Raggasonic, KDD, Patra, Alpha Blondy, Magic System, Dubmatique.. Un petit voyage sur la France leur permet de poser quelques titres sur des mixtapes et de collaborer avec des artistes de la place (Hifi, Movez Lang, Malekal Morte, Oxmo Puccino..). En Fevrier 2003, NiX sort son premier album solo apres que le groupe Kantiolis se soit dissout. Sur cet album nomme ''BLACK CRYSTAL'', NIX tente de reveiller une prise de conscience face aux nombreux maux qui minent notre societe et en particulier la jeunesse et ramene une ''vibe'' de sons ''nouvelle tendance'' tres ''club''...

Il invite Bap's et GeSer (Kantiolis), Tij et Fl..o (EPC), Abass Abass, Goshey (OTD), Fanto (CFA), DJ Gee Bayss (Pee Froiss), Carlo... A la production musicale, il a fait confiance a ses compagnons de toujours, Black Casanova, Diggy et K-iD. En Aout 2003 une version reeditee de l'album incluant des remixes et des inedits, ''BLACK CRYSTAL : Summer Edition'', voit le jour et en decembre 2003, NIX fut couronne meilleur rappeur solo de l'annee. ..

Surnome le "Tirailleur des temps modernes", Nix est en train de preparer la sortie de son second album qui va le placer certainement au firmament des grands flingueurs de son epoque...

..Il y a environ 639 millions d..armes legeres en circulation aujourd..hui dans le monde, et on en produit 8 millions de plus chaque annee. Si les gouvernements ne font rien pour stopper leur proliferation, d..autres personnes mourront, d..autres violations des droits humains seront commises et d..autres etres humains seront condamnes a la pauvrete.

Born in Senegal in the city of Dakar, NiX, is presented as of one of the sure values of the African rap. Like most of young people of his generation, Nix was first introduced to hip-hop by dancing and jiggling like his hiphop idols in the sates. His love for rap increases when he start listening to Doug E Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Father MC, Public Enemy… Then he discovered the French rap through MC Solaar, Assassin, NTM and IAM. These artists gave him the will to start writing and soon, he found his place in the landscape of the local rap. Thus he formed the group "Kantiolis" with his friends Ibrahim, Bap' S and GeSer to win the best rap group for 1994 and 1995. ..

Nix spend ten good years with Kantiolis who gain recognition and appreciation in their different show through locals schools and featuring with lots of big names such as Alliance Ethnik, Menelik, Raggasonic, KDD, Patra, Blondy Alpha, Magic System, Dubmatique etc. A trip to France enables them to pose some titles on mixtapes and to collaborate with big French artists like Hifi, Movez Lang, Malekal Morte and Oxmo Puccino. ..

In February 2003, the legendary group dismantled and Nix was forced to move on after gaining lots of stage experience and talent. That same year, he dropped his first album ''Black Crystal'' and invited his Ex acolyte Bap' S and GeSer, Tij and Fleo (EPC), Abass Abass, Goshey (OTD), Fanto (CFA), DJ Gee Bayss (Pee Froiss), Carlo…On the musical production, he trusted his companions of always Black Casanova, Diggy and K-iD. ..

The album was so well received and was such a success that in the same year, a remix version called "Black Crystal - Summer Edition'' including some new tracks was on the market. Then in December 2003, he was crown "best solo rap artist of the year "in SENEGAL. Called today '' The rifleman of modern times'', Nix is getting ready to drop his second album which is going to proove that he's one of the most prolific rappper of his generation.
