We're Sorry, But It's Time To Go...
It is with great sadness that we write this to you today. After six years of playing together, Daily Planet has decided to head in their separate ways. Back in August, we had to cancel all of our engagements because of JesseÕs shattered leg. After JesseÕs lengthy recovery process, it was just too difficult to get things back up and running. We are heading in our different directions under the best of terms, and hope that God will bring us back together at a later date. However, for now, Danny, Seth, and his wife Kristina are living back in California, while Jesse and his wife Marisa are living in Oregon. Some very good news is that Jesse and Marisa are expecting their first child in September! It is unclear what the future holds for all of us individually, but Jesse will continue to play shows as a solo artist. You can keep up with his schedule at www.JesseButterworth.com
Please keep the band in your prayers during this very strange time. It is of utmost importance that we continue to heed GodÕs call on our life. And even though it is difficult to follow this path, we are reminded of what Oswald Chambers wrote over 100 years ago. ÒYou cannot help suffering; it is a true and needful training for the soul that dares to be true to God.Ó Thank you all for being so wonderful and encouraging over the years. We still believe that the Daily Planeteers are the best in the world. Please continue to support Jesse on his solo endeavor, and we all hope to see you again in the future.
God bless you all, Jesse, Seth and Danny
man i miss you guys. a huge part of my childhood had your music in the background (i'm just 17 so it's not been too long) but it hurts knowing that yall are done ;/
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy your music. Besides myself, I think you next biggest fan in our family is Christopher, our 22 month old grandson. He will rock so hard in his carseat on "Flying Blind" that I wonder sometimes if he's going to rock it out of the seatbelt! May God bless you guys in all that you do.
Today I´m just stopping by to let You know that my current album "With All My Heart" as well as some previous CDs of mine are finally available for download in all iTunes stores worldwide. A lot of people have asked me if mp3s were available for download. Now they are. Enjoy!!!
And here is a word for the day:
"Whatever is true, whatever is noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever You have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." (Phil 4, 8-9).
As we are about to celebrate Easter, I wanted to send You the lyrics of a song I wrote a long time ago as a reminder of God´s unconditional love.
1. Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
For there can´t be a greater love than to lay down your life for a friend
The wheel of history´s turning, as he forgives in pain
In meekness and humility there dies the son of man
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a priceless treasure, not a billion words could explain
He´s called “a friend of sinners”, though he is pure in heart
If he was not a sinner´s friend, my friend he could not be
Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a God of mercy, amazing is his grace
With words of deep affection He is knocking at my door
That I might listen and adore the greatest friend of all
How are you doing i just wanted to let you know our new album is out and doing great. Please show your support and stop bye and check it out. Thanks GOD Bless all of yall.
I´m just stopping by to send a little encouragement from the scriptures - those verses just struck me tonite ... :-))
Therefore we do not loose heart! Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal...
It is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come!!! (2. Cor 4,16 ff.)
Take courage and have a great week!!
Cheers and Blessings!
Arne
the new year has just begun, and it already held loads of changes for us as a family. We moved houses (still living out of boxes), I cut down working hours in the record company from 5 to 2 days in order to be able to do more worship ministry, and just now I lay finishing touches on 2 German worship CD productions .
One of them sounds like a mixture of Motown and Buena Vista Social Club, and is so much fun to produce. I think it is vital, that worship music today does not become to narrow musically. The whole brit pop thing is sounding great, but God has created all kind of music, and the church should reflect those different styles in the attempt to portrait God´s creativity in a proper way - instead of creating a mono culture ...
Not every church all of it, off course, but the body of believers in the whole world can do, if we still allow domestic styles and start to care for Christians in other parts of the world and their contribution to the worship experience!!!
Never before the times of the global village has it been so easy to enjoy diversity as different expressions of a superb creative maker!!! Well, I hope I don´t bore You with these thoughts, but they are kind of on my heart today!
In closing, here comes a little encouragement from the Scriptures:
"There are different kinds of gifts and service, but the same Spirit... To each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good...
In fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, were would the body be...
So there should be no division in the body, but it should have equal concern for each other! If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it." (1. Cor 12, 4ff.)
As the year comes to a close, I quickly wanted to say thanks for joining me on my myspace journey. Actually, the last 3 months have been quite a ride for me, as I was starting to utilize this at that time for me totally unknown communication platform to introduce people to my music and story. And the response has been tremendous!!!
Thanks again, and I hope You will stop by in 2007 again. In case You have not checked out www.myspace.com/arnekopfermannband yet: I started this 2nd site to share a few more rather worshipful songs, that are working great for the church in Germany. Hopefully they will speak to You as well!
Last but not least: In case You are still looking for last minute Christmas presents, You will find my CD “With All My Heart” at www.m2sound.com/arne. Or just click the banner…
Have a great Christmas!!! The story of God becoming flesh will never stop to amaze me!
I hope You are doing great and have a good season trusting in Gods providence.
"Make every effort to add to Your faith goodness; and to goodness knowledge, and to knowledge self-control, and to self-control perseverance, and to perseverance godliness, and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
For if You possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep You from being ineffective and unproductive in Your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ ...
Be all the more eager to make Your calling and election sure. For if You do these things You will never fall, and You will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!" (2 Peter 1, 5-11)
