Every worker, whether employee, contract worker,or independent contractor needs to know their rights. Why? Well, we’ve seen first-hand how some employers pay their employees less than the law allows.

Imagine you are an employee at a fashionable salon. Your employer makes deductions from your commission for supplies—like color, shampoo, and relaxer—but doesn't explain the amounts or the reasons. What?! According to California law employers CANNOT pass on the cost of doing business to employees.

Are you owed money? Are you able to take all of your breaks (10 minute a.m., 10 minute p.m. and 30 minute mealtime) without delay or interruption? Is your job REALLY exempt or are you in a position classified to earn overtime, despite what your employer tells you?

There are so many ways employers attempt to get around the law. As the saying goes, “honest day's pay for honest day’s labor.” We’re here to make sure you get your fair share.
